« We had a nice weekend in the accommodation of Nicolas. Everything was clean. There is really space for 10 people (adults). The beds are very comfortable. We could cook without worry. The location is very central and very convenient. There are restaurants, bars, bakeries, supermarkets, around. For visits, everything is on foot near the apartment. Thanks again to Nicolas, who took the time to welcome us and was very flexible about our arrival and departure times. Thank you for the little touches. »

« We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The rooms were large and each had an en suite bathroom, which for a family group of seven people was ideal. They were very comfortable and we weren't wanting for anything. The location could not have been better - five minutes walk from the central square, right next to a metro station. A few useful things - the place offers a concierge service so you can get order groceries to arrive before you do and if you want, have a cleaning service each day. These things are optional offered by the host and if you don't want them, the price is inclusive of standard cleaning costs. We did order groceries via the host and it was good to have things in the kitchen for when we arrived; otherwise there's a Monoprix a minute away from the front door for all the essentials. »

« Very nice house, large spaces, ideal for a large group / large family. There is the possibility to add two extra mattresses, and to reserve the cleaning services at an additional cost. We were greeted by Jean-Claude who even received the races ordered online in the early afternoon and was kind enough to put the cost in the fridge. Very good bedding. There are no basics in the kitchen (dishwashing liquid, salt, pepper, sopalin, plastic film) but there is all the equipment. Super central, 15 min walk to train stations and 5 min to Grand Place. »

« Superb house, perfect facilities (the fire is a real plus), bedding and other benefits type terrace and bathtubs at the top, room layout perfect for a weekend with friends (possible to be together but also to isolate ), great location, very flexible and hospitable hosts. Even if the benefits are up to par, it is a little expensive all the same considering the average prices practiced - note also the simple glazing that lets a little cold and noise, but overall we are fully satisfied and will come back with great pleasure. »

« Excellent accommodation in the middle of Lille - would definitely stay there again. The location is fantastic and the house is incredibly spacious. There was more than enough space for our party of nine. All four bedrooms have their own en suite and the communal spaces are very generous. Everyone in the group felt like there was plenty of room to spread out so we weren't on top of each other during our stay. The outdoor patio area is a bonus, and there is a supermarket just around the corner so it's easy to buy food and supplies. The hosts were excellent with communication and everything went smoothly from start to finish. It was noisy during the Braderie de Lille, as the house was right in the middle of it all, but we knew what to expect when we booked for that weekend. »

« Very Comfortable Home/ Very Convenient Location We are a family group of 9 senior citizens. Most of us are experienced travelers who demand a certain amount of comfort from our accommodations. This downtown house in a pedestrianized area of Lille "filled the bill" beautifully. The house is easy walking distance from convivial restaurants, a wide variety of shops and services, and rail stations (although I recommend taking a taxi from either of the Lille rail stations when you first arrive with your luggage). Paris just an easy 1-hour train ride away from Lille by TGV. Even with 9 of us, we did not feel at all cramped or crowded in the house. We loved the luxury of having 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms which afforded us each some privacy. The galley style kitchen with every modern convenience worked well for us. The gathering spaces (dining area, living area, and patio) encouraged long conversations among the 9 of us. Our host, M. Fruchard and his property manager M.Clerc-Renaud were both helpful and gracious. We enthusiastically recommend this property. »

« This is an excellent apartment in a great location. In the middle is town, you couldn’t ask for a more convenient spot and within walking distance of the Eurostar terminal. The apartment is very clean and spacious and looks just like the pictures. Only downside is that the apartment is a few floors above a nightclub. The only issue was noise. « We visited Lille for a long weekend and were met by Jean-Claude who very kindly came to meet us and help us get a parking space when we were having difficulty finding one (we had to circle a few times). Nearest parking is on the road outside, which is payable 9am – 7pm every day except Sunday, which is free. When charged, it is 17 Euros per 5 hours (which is the max you can pay for at one time, so we paid on the App which meant we didn’t have to return to the car at 2pm to buy another ticket, we could just do it remotely. Jean Claude showed us around the flat, and managed to explain to my father (who speaks French) where everything was – including a thoughtful bottle of beer left in the fridge and some lovely local waffles. Everything supplied was of a good quality – bedding, towels, toiletries – and local information (including the weather for the weekend) and guides left out for us to use. In the kitchen, general cleaning items and tea/coffee making items were available to use, which was appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were even board games etc for us to use. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening with drinks and supper, enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. The flat was lovely – 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower, 1 double bedroom, 1 shower room, 1 toilet (the only one in the flat, the shower rooms do not have toilets), and an open plan ‘L shaped’ kitchen/lounge/diner, with a good quality double sofa bed in the smaller part of the room which could be fully curtained off. I think the sofa in the lounge was also a sofa bed, but we did not use it as a bed. The flat was located very centrally – lots of shops and restaurants nearby and only a 5 minute walk from the Grande Place. There were also some bars or clubs adjacent to the flat which sounded very vibrant and popular – playing club music until 2am on the Sun morning (I don’t remember it being as late on the Friday night, and nothing at all on the Sunday night). The flat was very clean and tidy, and the host was flexible with our arrival and departure times, which is always helpful when travelling a long way. »
